Ardbeg Trudernish 15 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky introduces a softer, creamier side of Ardbeg while preserving the unmistakable peat smoke, maritime depth, and layered complexity that have made the distillery one of Islay’s most recognizable names.

Inspired the historic settlement of Trudernish on Islay’s “Enchanted Cape,” this 15-year-old single malt is matured in a combination of bourbon barrels, new charred oak, and Oloroso sherry casks. Extended aging softens Ardbeg’s signature smoky profile while allowing richer notes of vanilla cream, fudge, orchard fruit, chocolate, nuts, and seasoned oak to emerge.

The aroma opens with earthy peat and gentle woodsmoke wrapped in rich vanilla cream reminiscent of melted vanilla ice cream with caramel or fudge sauce. the palate, soft pine, damp forest floor, and woodsmoke lead into black licorice, chocolate-covered lime, herbal mint, orchard fruit, floral sweetness, and milk-chocolate-coated nuts. The texture is notably silky, with vanilla running through the smoke and oak.

The finish is long and composed, leaving glowing peat embers, vanilla bean, and toasted nuts 48.8% ABV / 97.6 proof Trudernish offers enough strength to preserve texture and intensity without pushing into overtly hot territory.

This release is particularly significant for Ardbeg collectors because it is not a one-off Committee or festival bottling.
