Foursquare Rum Distillery Convocation

$159.99

Foursquare Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXVIII “Convocation” is a masterful union of technique, tradition, and time—an ultra-premium blend of two 14-year-old Single Blended Rums, meticulously aged and crafted at the award-winning Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados. Bottled at a robust 62% ABV (124 proof), this rare release showcases the exceptional vision of fourth-generation master distiller Richard Seale.

“Convocation” unites rums from two distinct aging paths: one matured exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels and the other in ex-Madeira casks, resulting in a layered and deeply expressive profile. Both components were distilled on-site—one from Foursquare’s double retort pot still and the other from the twin-column Coffey still—before being blended and bottled without additives or chill filtration. As with all Exceptional Cask Selections, every stage of production occurs entirely at the distillery, emphasizing authenticity and provenance.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Signature Foursquare vanilla, toasted coconut, and ripe berries lead into rich pipe tobacco, bergamot, roasted nuts, and subtle oxidative complexity.

Palate: Intense yet balanced, with caramelized grapefruit peel, blackberry cobbler, roasted macadamia nuts, and taffy-like texture. Layers of pineapple and salted caramel give way to a full-bodied, elegant finish.

Finish: Long, warm, and satisfying with a lingering note of spiced toffee and citrus oil.

Mash Bill

100% molasses-based rum—Single Blended (a blend of pot and column still distillates)
