THE VINTAGE
The year was characterized by a series of challenging weather patterns, alternating between cold, rainy spells and hot, stormy interludes. Uncertainty lingered through the summer, until a miraculous turn in weather graced the end of August, providing ideal conditions for the harvest. Commencing with the Pinot Noir grapes on September 11, the vintage yielded remarkably rich fruit, defining its exceptional character.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose: Revealing dual aspects akin to Janus, the wine emanates both warmth and coolness. Black cherries, dried figs, and roses entice, while deeper nuances of nutmeg and cocoa powder add complexity, leading to a finish characterized by toastiness, smoke, and ash.
